Supporting Children, Teenagers, and Young Adults in North Carolina
Empowering young minds to heal, grow, and thrive—one connection at a time.
Life can be incredibly tough, but you do not have to face the stressors, scaries, and worries alone! Through our work together, you will reduce your distress, build on your innate strengths, and increase your capabilities for both adapting to and addressing your everyday anxieties.
You already have all that you need to heal inside of you. Let’s work together to set it free!
Hi, I’m Katelyn
Welcome- I am so glad you are here! I’m truly honored that you’ve taken the first step in your journey toward healing. Becoming a therapist has been a lifelong dream of mine—one that started back when I was a little girl helping my stuffed animals talk through their problems! From a young age, I felt called to support others through life’s challenges, and that passion has only grown stronger with time.
As a therapist, my mission is to help individuals reconnect with their inner resilience and build upon the strengths they already carry. I believe therapy can hold space for both the serious and the silly—where deep healing happens alongside laughter, compassion, and authenticity. My goal is to meet each client exactly where they are, creating a safe, supportive environment where growth feels not only possible, but empowering.
Meet Tallulah, Katelyn’s In-Training Therapy Dog
Tallulah is a sweet, goofy, and delightfully sassy Shepherd mix who brings sunshine wherever she goes. Currently in training to become a certified Animal Assisted Therapy Dog, Tallulah is loving every moment of her journey—and so am I!
With a gentle tail wag and a carefully chosen office item in tow, Tallulah warmly greets each client and effortlessly matches the energy in the therapy room. She has a natural gift for connecting with people of all ages, but has an especially soft spot for children—her absolute favorites!
Outside of the therapy room, Tallulah is an active pup who enjoys agility training, cooling off with a good "swim swim" on hot days, and napping in sunny spots at home. She also loves playful wrestling matches with her kitten sister, Lennie, and shopping trips to her favorite treat stores. And if you’re really lucky, you might catch her proudly carrying one of her prized possessions: my car keys!
My Approach
In our sessions, my goal is to create a space that feels like slipping into a big, cozy chair—safe, supportive, and welcoming. This is a place where laughter is encouraged, and tears are met with compassion. I take a client-centered approach, meaning you are at the heart of the work we do together. As a team, we’ll explore your current concerns and collaboratively develop goals that guide your healing journey.
Clinically, I draw from an eclectic blend of evidence-based practices tailored to meet your unique needs. These include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), solution-focused techniques, behavior modification strategies, and therapeutic play. My aim is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you with flexibility, empathy, and purpose.
Helping kids and teens build confidence, find their voice, and create a brighter path forward.
Through individualized, compassionate care, I aim to guide young people in understanding their emotions, strengthening their coping skills, and growing into their most authentic selves.
