Meet Reagan Sydes

MSW, LCSW-A

Supporting Children, Teenagers, and Adults in North Carolina

You don’t have to keep navigating the weight of stress, disconnection, or uncertainty alone.

In our work together, you’ll find a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to reconnect with your emotions, your relationships, and your sense of self. Whether you are working through trauma, exploring your identity, deepening emotional intimacy, or building new patterns within your family or partnership, therapy offers a path forward. Together, we can help you move toward greater clarity, connection, and confidence.

Healing is possible, and you deserve a life where you feel grounded, capable, and seen.

Hi, I’m Reagan

I’m grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside you in this part of your journey. I believe therapy can be a powerful space for healing, growth, and connection. Too often, people carry their struggles alone—whether it’s the weight of past trauma, the stress of relationships, or the uncertainty of navigating life’s transitions. In therapy, you don’t have to hold those burdens by yourself. My role is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can feel supported and begin to find clarity and relief.

I am passionate about supporting children, families, LGBTQIA+ clients, and couples who are seeking deeper emotional intimacy. I strive to create a space that is safe, affirming, and centered on healing, while honoring the unique experiences each client brings.

Therapy is also a place to pause, reflect, and realign. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed or simply needing space to breathe, therapy can provide clarity, grounding, and a way forward.

Meet Raiden, Reagan’s In-Training Therapy Dog

Raiden is a quirky, gentle, and heartwarming Australian Shepherd who brings a calming energy wherever he goes. Currently in training to become a certified Animal Assisted Therapy Dog, he’s soaking up every moment of the journey.

Whether he’s greeting clients with his signature “Aussie wiggle” or quietly curling up in the therapy space, Raiden has a natural gift for meeting each moment with warmth and sensitivity. While he enjoys connecting with everyone, he holds a special place in his heart for children—who often become his instant best friends.

Outside the therapy room, Raiden is an adventurous spirit. He loves chasing his favorite Wobble Wag Giggle Ball in the backyard, napping next to mom after long walks, or watching Wicked with wide-eyed fascination. Exploring new cities, playing with his Chi-Poo sister Avery, and spending time with his favorite tiny humans—mom’s nephews and goddaughter—are among his happiest adventures. And if you spot him proudly trotting around with his most prized possession (the birthday candle toy from his 2nd birthday), you’re witnessing pure joy in motion!

My Approach

Therapy with me is grounded in empathy, structure, and a strong therapeutic alliance. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to pursue meaningful change. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and family systems frameworks.

Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual—whether that involves developing emotion regulation skills, exploring identity, processing trauma, or strengthening relationships. Sessions are paced with intention and clinically guided to foster insight, coping, and lasting resilience.

I specialize in supporting clients through a wide range of concerns, including trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and major life transitions. I work with individuals and couples on challenges related to emotional regulation, intimacy, attachment, and relationships, while also providing parenting support and guidance around family dynamics. I am committed to offering affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients and those exploring identity, as well as supporting youth navigating behavioral challenges or neurodivergence such as ADHD and autism traits. I also help clients build self-esteem, strengthen personal empowerment, and cope with experiences of pet loss. In addition, I am expanding my training in integrative sex therapy to further enrich my clinical work.
