Supporting Children & Teenagers in North Carolina

Your child may be withdrawn or acting out – carrying what feels like the weight of the world on their shoulders.

They’re experiencing a flood of emotions but may not yet have the words or tools to understand them. This can make everyday moments feel overwhelming, both for them and you. Through therapy, children can begin to make sense of these big feelings. They learn to name their emotions, understand where they come from, and express them in healthier, more effective ways.

With support, they can build confidence, strengthen communication, and develop coping skills that help them better navigate challenges.

Hi, I’m Reese

I’m truly grateful to be part of your child’s healing journey. My path to becoming a therapist began in childhood, when I first became curious about emotions and how they shape the way we experience the world. That curiosity, combined with my desire to support others, eventually grew into a passion for helping kids and teens feel understood and empowered.

I became a therapist because I wanted to make a positive difference in people’s lives, just as many caring adults did for me. I am committed to helping children and adolescents build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges with support and compassion.

People who know me often describe me as a calm and steady listener. They tell me I am someone they can turn to without fear of judgment and trust to help them make sense of what they are going through. I believe therapy is a safe and meaningful place for self-discovery, a place where young people can feel seen, heard, and supported as they learn and grow.

I am honored to walk alongside your child as they build resilience and discover their strengths.

Meet Shadow, Reese’s In-Training Therapy Dog

Shadow is the ultimate snuggly and slightly goofy sidekick with a heart of gold and the coordination of a very confused baby deer. He is a Black Lab mix, and with his silly personality it is only fitting that he was born on April Fools Day. Shadow approaches life with wide-eyed enthusiasm, sometimes tripping over his own paws but always popping back up as if he planned it.

He is endlessly eager to connect. Whether he is proudly sitting and waiting for his meals, curling up beside you for comfort, or wagging his entire body to show excitement, Shadow gives his whole heart to every moment.

For all his bravery, he has one sworn enemy: wet grass. The second a paw touches anything soggy, he acts personally betrayed by nature. But once he escapes the damp outdoors, he bursts into full-speed zooms with pure joy and determination. It is chaotic, hilarious, and completely endearing.

Shadow is sweet, clumsy, loyal, dramatic, and gentle in the most charming ways. He brings warmth, humor, and comfort into every space.

My Approach

Therapy with me is a safe, supportive space where your child can be exactly who they are – quiet, overwhelmed, or full of big feelings. Through play, conversations, and creative activities, we explore emotions in a way that feels natural and empowering. I help them build tools to manage stress, communicate clearly, and feel more in control. Together we celebrate small wins, practice new skills and find healthier ways to handle challenges. As their caretaker, ou’ll be supported too, with guidance to keep progress going at home. Therapy is a journey where your child grows braver, calmer, and more connected to themselves, knowing they’re not facing their struggles alone – we navigate them together.

My areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, OCD, life transitions, self-esteem, family conflict, school-related issues, grief, body image concerns, bipolar disorder, trauma, and PTSD.

As your child grows in therapy, they can begin to feel more in control, rebuild connection with themselves and others, and discover strengths they may not have realized they had.

Therapy is about more than managing tough behaviors. It is about nurturing healing, confidence, and resilience. Your child deserves support that helps them heal, grow, and thrive.
